Ces boites ne sont pas ce qu’elles paraissent. En les regardant on ne comprend pas tout de suite la forme générale, l’assemblage de l’objet. Les miroirs jouent ici parfaitement leur rôle de maîtres de l’illusion. Ici le miroir rend la compréhension de l’objet quasiment impossible au premier regard. This project is based on optical illusions, visual absense. These boxes are not what they seem. It’s difficult to understand general assembly of the object. The mirrors play here perfectly its role as masters of illusion. "Y" ans "T" are low-tech objects. I ask myself how a young designer can produce objects ans sell them herself? I am a "small-scale" designer in contrast to an industrial designer. I think about an object and keep in mind that I should be able to produce it in small production. I create today with my skills and the things I can buy in my city or on internet. Be reactive and creative. Maybe it is not so far from what a cratfman is? Or how to transform an old fashioned - but beautiful - ceremony in "todays" objects. The answer is a family of 5 objects, made with a high level material: Hi-Macs (acrylic mass + natural minerals) and silver structures. Silver is extruded with an old tool which is used very rarely. The tool has a star-shaped contour, so that the solid rods are grooved. The rods are then brought in shape and connected perfectly adapt to the Hi-Macs parts. The combination of this two materials and methods of production (craftsman vs. 3D milling machine) create a very special alliance between history and modernity. The silver structures support the Hi-Macs plates: one without the other is useless.
